Team Member Permissions & Communication Rights

With team member permissions in RepairCMS, you control flexibly and securely which employees have access to sensitive order logs and how they are permitted to communicate with clients. This safeguards internal repair shop operations and ensures that confidential case notes remain exactly where they belong.

Your Benefits at a Glance: #

  • Targeted Access Rights: Define individually for each team member which repair ticket details they are allowed to view and edit.
  • Enforce Internal Communications: Enable the “Internal communication only” option to prevent workshop updates from being sent to end customers by accident.
  • Centralized Access Management: Adjust user roles and restrictions quickly at any time via the employee’s corporate email profile.
Without this Process (Traditional):
  • ❌ Technicians accidentally leak internal raw notes to end customers
  • ❌ Unprivileged users can access or change confidential order data
  • ❌ Cluttered dashboard with too many unnecessary data blocks
  • ❌ No clear operational division between front desk and workshop
With RepairCMS (Automated):
  • ✅ Internal workshop notes stay completely hidden from clients
  • ✅ Strict division of duties protects sensitive customer order logs
  • ✅ Clean user control interface displays only relevant information
  • ✅ Enhanced operational data security via real-time role profiles

Step-by-Step Guide: Adjusting User Permissions #

Note: All modifications made to staff permissions take effect instantly in real time across the workspace environment as soon as they are saved.

  1. Click on My RepairCMS in the main left-hand sidebar menu to access your core account dashboard area.
  2. Select the sub-menu option titled Team members from the left navigation panel layout.
  3. Click directly onto the specific data row of the team member whose access profiles you want to modify.
  4. Scroll down to the segment section labeled Access to orders.
  5. Toggle the feature slider next to Internal communication only to define the restrictive communication profile for this user.
  6. Click the blue Save button located at the bottom of the form block to activate the new permission setups system-wide.

💡 Pro Administration Tip: Enforce the internal communication toggle for all pure hardware diagnostic technicians. This keeps diagnostic draft logs, vendor cost breakdowns, and technical comments confidential, while leaving formal, polished client messaging to your administrative front-desk team.
