RepairCMS Ultimate Release Notes
3.5.4 [August 18, 2026]
Fixed
- FixedWhat: Every chat message now shows the job title of the person who wrote it, instead of repeating the job title of whoever is reading the conversation. Who: Everyone using job chat, including B2B partners and customers in the tracking portal. Benefit: Conversations attribute each message correctly, so a technician's message is no longer labelled with the manager's title. Workshop: The title comes from the Position field on each team member's profile under Users. Team members with an empty Position now show no title instead of the wrong one, so fill in Position for anyone who should be labelled.
- FixedWhat: New message notifications in the activity feed and notification list now show the message text, or a readable sentence naming the sender, instead of an internal placeholder. Who: Everyone using the activity feed, the notification list, or the mobile notification view. Benefit: Notifications can be read at a glance in English, German, Danish, and Swedish. Workshop: Notifications already sitting in the list are shown correctly too, so there is nothing to clean up.
3.5.3 [August 12, 2026]
Added
- AddedWhat: When a B2B partner books a repair job for one of their end customers, the partner portal's job lists and receipts now show that end customer, while the shop's RepairCMS always shows the partner as the job's customer. Who: Shops working with B2B partners through the partner portal. Benefit: Partners can serve their own customers through the portal without exposing that customer base, and the shop keeps one clean contractual customer on every partner job. Workshop: Before, whichever contact the partner selected could appear on the shop's job; now the shop sees the partner on the job, receipts, and notifications, and the partner's printed receipt addresses their end customer.
Fixed
- FixedWhat: Job rows in the procurement hub now show the customer name. Who: Shops using procurement. Benefit: Jobs in the hub can be told apart at a glance without opening each one.
3.5.2 [August 6, 2026]
Added
- AddedWhat: A full-screen cash register opens from the top bar. Sell products, quick items, and repair jobs at the counter. Every sale produces a legally signed receipt through HelloCash — required in Germany and Austria; Swiss shops can run without mandatory signing. Who: Shops on plans that include HelloCash. Benefit: Walk-in sales and job payments stay legally compliant without a separate till or retyping. Workshop: Carts can be parked and resumed later; cash in and cash out movements are recorded for the drawer.
- AddedWhat: HelloCash connects through a guided setup: enter your API token, review team access, and payment types map automatically. A test receipt confirms signing works before the first real sale. Who: Owners activating the cash register for a location. Benefit: The register goes from setup to ready without support. Workshop: The test receipt is booked as a 0.00 document, so it does not appear in your real HelloCash day report.
- AddedWhat: Choose one shared cashier for the whole team, or per-user mode where each team member is linked to their own HelloCash cashier. Who: Multi-staff shops that need to know who rang up each sale. Benefit: In per-user mode, every receipt shows who made the sale — no shared logins needed.
- AddedWhat: Scan or search repair jobs by job number at the register. If the job has a quotation or service report, the cashier chooses what to load: the approved quotation (including any discount), the service report, or the job's own services and parts. Who: Cashiers ringing up finished repairs. Benefit: The customer pays exactly what was quoted; line items load into the cart without retyping. Workshop: A job quoted at 79 € (down from 89 €) charges 79 € when the quotation is selected; jobs without documents attach directly.
- AddedWhat: Jobs paid at the register show a receipt card on the job's Invoice tab — receipt number, date, payment method, and signature status — with Print, Download, A4 PDF, Email, and cancel-receipt actions right on the job. Who: Everyone handling a job after counter payment. Benefit: The receipt stays with the job; reprint, send, or cancel without searching the register archive. Workshop: After a cancelled receipt, the card stays visible as history and the normal invoice flow is available again.
- AddedWhat: Creating an invoice for a job already paid at the register, or ringing up a job that already has an invoice, is blocked — with a message naming the existing receipt or invoice. Who: Teams where the front desk and register run in parallel. Benefit: No duplicate charges when two people handle the same job.
- AddedWhat: Sell gift vouchers at the register (on the receipt, as a gift card, or by email), redeem them as payment (including partial amounts), and manage the full ledger — balances, history, voiding, and Excel/CSV import of pre-printed codes. Who: Shops selling gift cards. Benefit: Codes, balances, and expiry are tracked automatically; the ledger shows open balance as a liability for accounting. Workshop: No side spreadsheet and no accidental cash payout for voucher balance.
- AddedWhat: Card payments run on SumUp terminals paired with the register, including split payments (cash plus card) and tipping on the terminal. Who: Shops using a SumUp Solo reader at the counter. Benefit: The amount is sent to the terminal automatically and settles on the same signed receipt — no manual entry on the reader.
- AddedWhat: Receipts print in RepairCMS's design — as a thermal receipt (silent printing where supported, with a browser dialog as fallback) or as an A4 PDF — including the country-correct fiscal section with a verifiable QR code. Who: All register users in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Benefit: Receipts follow local conventions automatically, with no extra setup.
- AddedWhat: A guided day-end closing counts the drawer, shows the difference against the expected balance, and closes the register day. Who: Whoever closes the till in the evening. Benefit: Daily reconciliation happens at the register, with differences visible immediately.
- AddedWhat: Practice mode books no real fiscal receipts: practice sales print with a demo watermark, and day-end closing separates practice and live days. Only owners and admins can switch between practice and live mode. Who: Teams training staff or testing the register before going live. Benefit: The full checkout flow can be rehearsed without entries in the real books.
- AddedWhat: If HelloCash is briefly unreachable, cash sales still complete. The receipt is marked as waiting and signed automatically when the connection returns. A genuine rejection by HelloCash still stops the sale. Who: Shops with unreliable internet. Benefit: A short outage does not stop the queue; every receipt still ends up signed.
- AddedWhat: Register amounts, voucher emails, and card charges use the correct currency automatically: the app shows your account currency, while fiscal receipts and Swiss SumUp terminals use the register country's currency (CHF in Switzerland). Who: Every register user; especially Swiss shops. Benefit: What the register shows, what the receipt says, and what the terminal charges always match.
3.5.1 [July 27, 2026]
Added
- AddedWhat: The "Unpaid invoices" figure on the Dashboard is clickable and opens the invoice list already filtered to unpaid invoices. Who: Owners and office staff following up on open payments from the Dashboard. Benefit: Open invoices are one click away instead of navigating to the list and setting the filter by hand. Workshop: Before, the tile only showed the amount; after, clicking it opens the list with exactly the unpaid documents behind that number.
- AddedWhat: New customer addresses pre-fill the country from the company's address in Company Settings. The country stays editable per customer. Who: Front-desk staff creating customers, billing addresses, or shipping addresses. Benefit: Domestic customers no longer need the country picked from the list every time.
Fixed
- FixedWhat: Sending an invoice email to an address that previously rejected our emails now shows a clear error instead of reporting success while nothing arrives. Who: Everyone emailing invoices to customers; notably recipients on Apple domains (@me.com, @icloud.com). Benefit: A blocked recipient is visible at send time, so the address can be corrected instead of the invoice silently never arriving. Workshop: Before, an invoice to a bounced @me.com address showed "successfully sent" and never arrived; after, the send is stopped with a message explaining the delivery block.
- FixedWhat: When sending an invoice email fails, an error message is always shown, the send window stays open for a retry, and the invoice is only marked "Sent" after the email actually went out. Who: Staff emailing invoices. Benefit: A failed send can no longer look the same as a successful one.
- FixedWhat: Global search shows up to 20 matching contacts instead of 5, so a contact no longer goes missing while their order still appears. Who: Anyone using global search on accounts with many similarly named contacts. Benefit: Searching a common surname finds the person, not just their order.
- FixedWhat: The email field on private-customer and supplier forms no longer shows a mandatory-field asterisk; email stays optional for private customers. Who: Front-desk staff creating or editing private customers and suppliers. Benefit: The form no longer suggests an email is required when it is not.
- FixedFailed job due-date reminder emails are now logged instead of failing silently (internal).
- FixedTenant isolation on job-document lookups was tightened (internal security hardening).
3.5.0 [July 22, 2026]
Added
- AddedWhat: The Invoices tab on a customer page can filter by payment status — All, Paid, or Unpaid — and export the filtered list as CSV or Excel with a summary total. Who: Shop owners and office staff who follow up on customer payments; export requires the data-export permission. Benefit: Open invoices can be reviewed and exported for accounting without manual sorting. Workshop: Before, unpaid invoices had to be picked from the full list one by one; after, one filter isolates open items and the export is ready to share.
- AddedWhat: The expected completion date can be set during repair intake, on the same step where photos and the storage location are captured. Who: All shops creating repair jobs; the field remains optional and can still be set later from the job details page. Benefit: The agreed completion date is recorded while the customer is at the counter, not after the job is created. Workshop: Before, staff completed intake and reopened the job to enter the date; after, it is captured during booking.
- AddedWhat: Contacts with an active B2B Partner Portal login show a globe icon in the contact list, with a tooltip confirming portal access. Who: Shops that give business customers access to the B2B Partner Portal. Benefit: Staff can see which business customers have portal access without opening each contact record. Workshop: Before, portal access required opening the contact; after, the icon in the list shows it immediately.
Fixed
- FixedWhat: Edits made by going back during job intake — such as correcting the device model or fault description — are now saved with the job and appear on the printed order. Who: Staff creating repair jobs with the intake wizard. Benefit: Corrections made on earlier steps persist on the job list, job details, and printed receipt. Workshop: Before, a corrected device name on an earlier step could revert after booking; after, the corrected value is what prints.
- FixedWhat: Job status changes now send customer email notifications by default, including "Ready to be picked up", with an option to disable the notification for each change; jobs without a customer email address skip sending. Who: All shops updating job statuses. Benefit: Customers are notified about repair progress automatically; staff no longer need to enable email for every status change. Workshop: Before, pickup-ready emails only sent when staff enabled the notification each time; after, they send by default unless turned off.
3.4.9 [July 21, 2026]
Added
- AddedWhat: Plan-based access across the App Store and Integrations — each app is available on the plan that includes it. Who: All subscribers browsing or activating apps and integrations. Benefit: It is clear which plan unlocks which module before you commit. Workshop: Team plan includes Repair Logistics (DHL shipping labels), HelloCash, and the B2B Partner Portal; Business plan includes Procurement Hub and Internal Checks; standard integrations (Lexware, Cash Book, E-Invoice, QR payments, Typeform) stay on every plan.
- AddedWhat: Locked apps open one consistent "unlock" window that explains what the app does, which plan includes it, and the price, with a direct path to upgrade. Who: Users hitting a plan-gated app or integration in the App Store. Benefit: Every locked module uses the same upgrade flow instead of mixed prompts.
- AddedWhat: When changing plans, a pre-checkout warning lists active apps that the new plan does not include, with a one-click "Keep it" option to add each module before completing the order. Who: Subscribers switching or renewing to a different plan while apps are active. Benefit: No surprise loss of access at checkout; you can keep what you need in one step. Workshop: Data for any switched-off app is retained and restored automatically if you add the app again later.
Fixed
- FixedWhat: Apps activated during a free trial no longer stay switched on after choosing a plan that does not include them. Who: Trial users selecting a paid plan at checkout. Benefit: Plan entitlements are reconciled at checkout, with all app data retained.
- FixedWhat: App Store detail pages now show the exact plan that includes each app. Who: Anyone comparing apps before upgrading. Benefit: Plan labels on detail pages match the actual entitlement rules.
- FixedWhat: Missing labels on the Procurement Hub page were added, and an incorrect trial-days countdown on the plan screen was corrected. Who: Users on Procurement Hub and the subscription plan screen. Benefit: Procurement Hub UI is fully labeled, and trial remaining time displays correctly.
- FixedWhat: An active subscription is always recognized for feature access. Who: Paying customers using core features such as quotations, stock, or file uploads. Benefit: Premium features no longer appear wrongly locked or prompt an upgrade you already pay for.
Updated
- UpdatedWhat: Plan-based app access applies to new subscriptions and to accounts that change or renew their plan; existing customers who keep their current plan are unaffected, and trial accounts retain full access to explore every feature. Who: New subscribers, plan changers, and long-standing customers staying on their current plan. Benefit: Entitlements roll out where plans change, without disrupting accounts that do nothing.
- UpdatedWhat: Add-on free trials are limited to the initial trial period; once a plan is active, premium modules are purchase-only. Who: Subscribers who already chose a paid plan. Benefit: Trial offers for add-ons no longer appear after checkout, when they no longer apply.
- UpdatedWhat: Upgrade prompts, plan labels, and add-on messaging were refined across the app for clearer, more consistent wording. Who: Anyone seeing upgrade or plan-related UI anywhere in RepairCMS. Benefit: Plan and add-on messaging reads the same whether you are in the App Store, Integrations, or checkout.
3.4.8 [July 11, 2026]
Added
- AddedWhat: Bulk import is available for Services, and the import experience for Contacts and Stock Items was rebuilt around the same flow. Who: Shop owners and managers importing catalog or CRM data; all plans with Contacts, Stock, and Services. Benefit: Large lists of services, contacts, and stock can be loaded without re-entering them by hand. Workshop: Before, service catalogs often had to be typed in; after, a spreadsheet import brings services in alongside contacts and stock.
- AddedWhat: Import files get intelligent column auto-mapping for common English and German headers, with one-click manual override when a column is wrong. Who: Anyone importing Contacts, Stock Items, or Services from spreadsheets. Benefit: Most files map themselves; staff only fix the columns that do not match.
- AddedWhat: Each import offers duplicate handling — skip existing records or create anyway — and skipped rows are listed in the report. Who: Staff running imports into Contacts, Stock, or Services. Benefit: Re-imports do not silently create duplicates unless that is explicitly chosen.
- AddedWhat: After every import, an email report summarizes imported, skipped, and failed rows in the user’s language. Who: The user who started the import. Benefit: Results are available even if the browser was closed during a long import.
- AddedWhat: A downloadable error report lists each failed or skipped row with the exact reason. Who: Anyone cleaning up a partial or failed import. Benefit: Bad rows can be fixed in the source file without guessing what went wrong.
- AddedWhat: Each location can run its own receipt number ranges for jobs, invoices, quotations, and delivery notes. Who: Multi-location businesses that need separate numbering per branch. Benefit: Branches no longer share one sequence when they need independent document numbers. Workshop: Before, every location pulled from the same counter; after, each shop can keep its own job and invoice ranges.
Fixed
- FixedWhat: Imports with 10,000+ rows no longer fail or stall; they run as background jobs and survive closing the browser tab. Who: Shops importing large catalogs or contact lists. Benefit: Big imports finish reliably without keeping a tab open the whole time.
- FixedWhat: Excel uploads and CSV files with special characters (including umlauts) no longer corrupt during import. Who: Anyone importing files with German or other non-ASCII text. Benefit: Names and descriptions keep their correct characters after import.
- FixedWhat: Saving numbering settings for an additional location no longer fails with a duplicate-entry error; an existing configuration updates in place. Who: Multi-location admins configuring per-location numbering. Benefit: Location numbering can be edited without deleting and recreating the config.
- FixedWhat: The sequence field accepts leading zeros (e.g. 0001), and editing numbering settings no longer flickers the screen. Who: Admins configuring document number formats. Benefit: Padded sequences can be set as intended, and the settings UI stays usable while typing.
- FixedWhat: Creating a new device model right after adding a new brand works again on new accounts. Who: New accounts (and shops with an empty device catalog) adding their first brands and models during intake. Benefit: Booking a device on a fresh account is not blocked by an error when brand and model are created back to back.
Updated
- UpdatedWhat: Imports run server-side as background jobs with live progress, cancel support, and in-app status notices on Contacts, Stock, and Services pages. Who: Staff importing data on those pages. Benefit: Progress is visible in-app, and a bad import can be cancelled mid-run.
- UpdatedWhat: Locations without their own numbering keep using the default location’s configuration until they opt in per location. Who: Existing multi-location customers; no forced change on upgrade. Benefit: Current numbering behavior stays the same until a location is configured separately.
- UpdatedWhat: Import completion summaries, notices, and action buttons are clearer and consistent across all import dialogs. Who: Anyone using Contacts, Stock, or Services import. Benefit: The same import UX language appears wherever bulk import is used.

- AddedWhat: Customizable internal quality checklists can be completed before handing over a device. Who: Technicians and managers running pre-handover checks. Benefit: Devices leave the shop only after required checks are ticked off. Workshop: Before, “did we wipe the device?” lived in someone’s head; after, the checklist must be completed before return.
